"I didn’t think you would have much trouble finding Allen. He is one of the few that I was sure of. He is not too hard to find here either. I think that’s Betty Simmons next to him. I think others in this picture include Larry Lane, Ron Howard, Glenda Kaiser, and me. This was Miss Straight’s second grade class, and I remember being afraid of her the whole year. I can’t tell if that is a comb or a ruler in her hand.

"This is Mrs. Knapp’s forth grade, and I remember really liking her.
Kids I remember or recognize include: Earl Koons, Dave Bloye, Judy Botton, Bob VanPortfleet, Dick Bogart, Dick Roeloffs, Joyce VanderPool, June Ebels, Judy Hutt, Carla Nelson, Vera Petterson, Rodney Van Camp. There are a few others that I remember their first names but would have to check a yearbook of our senior pictures to remember the last name.

David W. Linscott
LINSCOTT - David W. Linscott, February 26, 1940 - September 17, 2009, born to Forest and Ruth Linscott in Grand Rapids, MI, died suddenly of a short illness. Surviving siblings and spouses are Ken (Shirley), Don (Pauline), Tom (Kae), Dorothy (Wayne) Halstead, Bruce Linscott and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving is his wife and soulmate, Mary (Kathy) Linscott and their daughter, Brenda Anne Linscott who resides in Nashville, TN. David was a loving, husband, father, and friend. He was a true visionary and accomplished artist, poet, and environmentalist. The service was held in downtown Reno, NV, at the United Methodist Church on September 23, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. Location is 2009 West First Street, Reno, NV 89501. Reception followed at his home. Contributions can be given to the American Cancer Society .
